It’s only been a few months since I met David Holzmer and Ai Zhang. Soon after joining Snapchat, I began searching for others in education who were using the platform. I was fascinated by the work that they were doing and soon watching each other's snaps turned into conversations that we had been yearning for. It was incredible to hear and collaborate with others who were working to connecting the dots between the radical changes in technology, higher education, and industry.
Beth Holland and I have been friends for quite some time now and last year when Beth started as a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University in the Entrepreneurial Leadership in Education program, we began having extensive conversations about the need for higher education to evolve. Her research has her exploring how to systematically innovate classroom practice to better prepare students for the intellectual and technological demands of the knowledge economy.
We’ve had some incredible conversations in isolation and on Tuesday, September 6th at 5PST/8EST we’re launching our first live conversation centered on how might we connect the dots between the radical changes in technology, higher education, and industry.
We’ll be hosting the video conversation using Firetalk and you can join here. We hope to see you there and look forward to you sharing your ideas and experiences.
